Day 057 – back on the blogging wagon… new experiment – RIBS!!

If you were following my post then you would have noticed that I didn’t posted for awhile.  Yes, I fell of the wagon for a bit plus there was some work done to my computer and such.  It was hard to keep up after Christmas and then there was 2 birthdays that I had to take care of but I managed to try a few new things during that time and will update those post shortly.

As for today, I tried to make rib.   I picked up some  rib before and have been occupying my freezer for quite some time.  I decided since my in-laws were coming to lunch, I would try to make it.

I picked up a jar of marinade (Club House’ Roasted Garlic & Pepper Rub Marinade)and rub it all over the rib along with some onion and garlic last night.  Let it marinaded in the fridge over night.

Then I followed the recipe I found on a website and wrapped the rib in aluminum foil and baked it for 3 hours or so at 300F.  My hubby was kind of surprised that I started backing at 8.30am while the in-laws wouldn’t be here for a couple hours.

The whole house was smelling like ribs.  I took it out after 3 hours and opened it up.  First I thought it was burnt but turned out it was just the sauce at the edge that was kind of charred but the rib was okay.  It was really soft and falls of the bone quite easily.  Flavour wise, I would have hoped that it’s slighlty sweeter and I could be slightly more moist as well.  Other than that, it wasn’t bad and it seemed my in-laws enjoyed it.
